Orgy

LIVE @ THE HOUSE OF ROCK | 3/21/13

I’ve been intrigued by Orgy, who’ve been around since the 90s. They broke out in the music-video days of MTV when their cover of New Order's “Blue Monday” erupted. A successful follow-up record, science-fiction-themed Vapor Transmission, made Orgy huge. An extended hiatus after their third record, however, caused front-man and founder Jay Gordon to move into a producing role with other bands for the better part of the last decade. This show was fantastic. Jay was great even though he was fighting a high fever that caused the set to be cut short. They covered all the old hits and had the place rocking. I really hope they are able to continue touring so I can see them again real soon.
